The History of William Wells Tire & Auto

William Wells Tire & Auto is a locally owned and operated automotive service center founded in 1997. We strive to deliver quality products to our customers. For auto repairs, or new or used tires and wheels, come see us in person or request a quote online. We’re also available for mobile tire service and roadside assistance. William Wells started out working on a few vehicles in a small shed while between jobs. At the time, he did not imagine going into business for himself. But hard work and taking pride in doing the right thing by his customers led to a demand that created the growth into what is now a AAA-Approved Auto Repair Facility and a NAPA AutoCare Center.

Rainey Wells

My name is Rainey Wells! I am the daughter of William Wells. I began working for my dad in June of 2022. I always knew I wanted to do something with numbers and my father had the perfect place for me! I am the office manager of all three locations – Starkville, West Point, and Columbus. This opportunity has truly been a blessing and I can’t wait to carry the family business further.

William Wells III

My name is William Wells III and I opened the business of William Wells Tire and Auto in September of 1997. At the time I did not have a job and was working on a few vehicles in a shed on the property where the business stands now. I was going to start sending out resumes but people started asking me to work on their cars, and it hasn’t slowed down much since. In fact, this operation is now been bigger than it has ever been! I now have two other locations in Columbus and West Point. This has been an amazing opportunity for me and my family, and without my employees I could have not made it. I am excited to know that one day I will be handing it over to my kids to continue my legacy. I have truly been blessed by my employees and customers.

William Wells IV

My name is William Wells IV, and I am the son of William Wells III. I began working for my dad in August of 2023. I have started as an oil/tire technician to begin learning the basics of the business. My father and I have always had a close bond growing up and I hope to be able to carry his legacy on alongside my sister.
